The flight of Colorado's largest bat colony, located in the San Luis Valley draws spectators Emily Schnoor and friend Laura Koch as they watch the bats fly on cue at 8:15 pm. Every night the bats leave their home in the cave of the abandoned Orient Mine near Villa Grove, Colorado. The nocturnal nature of bats makes them very hard to study and therefore, one of the least understood mammals.

Thirteen year old Jordan Townsend is an unlikely authority. Townsend's bedroom reflects his love of all things Elvis.
